From Resource to Precious Stone Our 38th annual Rock and Gem Show and Sale titled, "Seeking Sulphur – From Resource to Precious Stone", took place October 29th and 30th 2016 from 10am to 5pm both days at Kyle Centre in Port Moody. The show told element number 16’s story from its importance as an economic resource in British Columbia to its role as a special ingredient in certain lapidary materials and minerals. Visitors had the opportunity to interact with samples of sulphide ores mined in British Columbia, and visit with our special guest, Pacific Coast Terminals Co. Ltd., to learn how sulphur is used to create everyday products. Other show highlights included:
